UG Krishnamurti: A Life

‘I have no message for mankind.’ U.G.

I would like to offer a way to keep these writings, interviews and opinions on U.G. Krishnamurti available. A few of the sites that offer the material of “A Life” are dated and use older web tech and so I hope to make it easier for others looking to find out more about U.G. to view the material in new standards.

For more about who U.G. Krishnamurti is, was: https://www.wikiwand.com/en/articles/U._G._Krishnamurti

While U.G. didn’t want to be remembered after he left this earth I personally find this quote to be truthful. The filmmaker who wrote the book explains how he met U.G. from a friend:

The friend who was instrumental in introducing U.G. to me was himself in a dilemma for years, trying to figure out ‘who’ and ‘what’ U.G. is. His efforts were frustrated at every turn. So one day he decided to put this question to the I Ching. He received the following answer:

‘He is not a guru, not a priest, not a teacher, nor a savant. He has no interest in enlightening you, and in fact does not intend to do anything. He burns brightly with passion and without purpose. He is as lost without you as you are without him. His light dies if you do not reflect it. Your life is dark without his light.’

So yeah on a personal level I feel this. I would like to reflect some of his light by reposting this info.

The book was written by: Mahesh Bhatt – More info: https://www.wikiwand.com/en/articles/Mahesh_Bhatt

This work was originally published in VIKING by Penguin Books India (P) Ltd., in 1992 with copyright by Mahesh Bhatt and is published here with the courtesy of the publisher.

Here is the complete book but also be sure to view the extended Conversations chapter in a separate PDF right below it. It is filled with all kinds of goodies.
