What can I say about the Tao/Dao that hasn’t already been proclaimed? Is it the true “way”? I do not know for sure but the flow of it is easy and it speaks to me and countless others. Hopefully at least one person will be brought to it by me posting it here.
Also be sure to read the writings of Master Zhuang too. His proposed birth year is what brought me to the Tao, 369 (I was deep in Tesla at the time). His writing of the butterfly dream is still to this day played over and over in my head. His telling of stories are not only filled with wisdom but comedy as well. Some will have you thinking of Aesops Fables or even a sarcastic ruse at the bar with friends. His writings are great!
Once, Zhuang Zhou dreamed he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and fluttering about, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn’t know that he was Zhuang Zhou. Suddenly he woke up and there he was, solid and unmistakable Zhuang Zhou. But he didn’t know if he was Zhuang Zhou who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming that he was Zhuang Zhou. Between Zhuang Zhou and the butterfly there must be some distinction! This is called the Transformation of Things.
